In this episode of Mindset Hackers, my mindset twin Hallie Avolio and I deep dive into how to let go of caring what others think about you. We talk about our back stories in coming into the versions of us that aren't restrained by the fear of judgement of others.
Some of the topics we talk about in this episode are imposters syndrome, perfectionism (fear of putting it out there), dimming our light for others, overcompensating, fear of rejection, needing external validation.
Hallie and I both have our backstories and our struggles, and we share our mindset tools that we use to free ourselves from the chains that once held us back, and now give us an absolute sense of confidence and freedom.
When you stop worrying about what others think of you, you give yourself massive amounts of energy that will help propel you to new levels of the enjoyment of life.
Your mind is the most energy consuming organ in your body and to obsess, stress or worry about what others think of us, we are just...
This new episode of Mindset Hackers talks on how to get up from a dark place and transfrom yourself into a confident person.
When you get hurt, you close up, you defend, you protect, you put your walls up, you close the blinds, you shut the doors, you close the gates.
Losing someone you love. A divorce. A failed business. Getting fired.
These are things that can cause anyone to shut down and go into Zombie mode.
Confidence Coach Claudia Wyatt understands, she has been there, to the depths and back.
Claudia had spiraled down after a brutal divorce and several deaths in her family including her father, sister and dog.
Blow after blow, this took its toll on her until she could barely function except on auto pilot.
Retreated from her life, retreated from herself, she went inward in the wrong way.
Getting by, day to day, autopilot and lost.
Eventually she reached a point where something that had to give.
Claudia details her 4 step process of healing, mindset and self love that pulled her...

Today’s episode of Mindset Hackers we will talk about the quote “You are the average of the 5 people that you spend the most time with” by the great mindset mentor and personal development guru, Jim Rohn.
Jim Rohn is known as the godfather of personal development and was a mentor to Tony Robbins and so many other greats.
As much as I love and respect the legend Jim Rohn, I completely disagree, but not in a bad way. Jim was right that spending time around the right people, or the wrong people, can massively impact how your success follows.
The way I see it, you are actually the sum of EVERYONE that enters your sphere (your mindset, your environment), and this isn’t just people, but you are also the average of everything that you consume, such as the media, the music, the podcasts, the books, the shows, the news, the food and even your personal space.
You are so valuable and your sphere is so worthy of being protected from people who will...
Visualization is an exceptionally powerful tool that you can use to create any dream that you wish. This is why so many high performing athletes use visualization as part of their routines, it is a way to rehearse the outcome that you want.
Athletes that use visualization include:
My question is if these athletes swear by visualization, and this is a tool that anyone can use, are you taking advantage of visualization to create the life that you desire?
I first read about visualization nearly 30 years ago when I was given a book called "Psycho Cybernetics".
In the book it talked about a study that was done over 20 days to improve 'free throw' accuracy with a basket ball.
Group 1 - no practicing through 20 days.
Group 2 - 20 minutes per day throwing free throws.
Group 3 - 20 minutes per day visualizing free throws.
Group 1 - no changes at the end of the study.
Group 2 - 24% improvement in accuracy.
What does it take to be a Jedi Master of gratitude?
In todays episode of Mindset Hackers I will discuss the 4 Levels Of Gratitude and how expanding your practice of gratitude will lead to more happiness, joy and abundance in your life.
I've built a framework to help you see where you are and where you could be when it comes to practicing gratitude in your life.
I will also share with you why a focus on gratitude can amplify your level of abundance because it helps your reticular activating system see the world with a different lens.
Level 1 - passively grateful and not often thinking about gratitude, or aware of what it can do. It comes when it comes.
Level 2 - awareness and adopting a mindfulness practice of seeking out things to be grateful for. Taking time each day to write down 3 things to be grateful for.
Level 3 - (Jedi Knight level) Gratitude becomes hard wired in the brain, a perpetual state of gratitude.
This is where I operate. I walk around and my mind is...
Your beliefs around money have everything to do with your financial success later on in life.
When you were a child, in your most malleable state, you are absorbing your beliefs about life from the people and situations that you experience.
You are literally being programmed by your parents, by advertising, by your peers, even by the financial system.
You were told to save, save, save. Kirsten and I agree that this teaches people to live in scarcity. To 'live within your means'.
True abundance is not living constricted, it is about expansion.
Kirsten and I talk about some of the things that we hear from our parents in our childhood that create our money blocks and money limiting beliefs.
In this new episode of Mindset Hackers Podcast Kirsten also talks about Grow and Arrow, her financial consulting firm, where she not only advises financially but helps her clients remove money blocks and limiting beliefs around money, and you don't often find that.
Kirsten is also a master of using...
Wealth Advisor and former college football coach Kevin Adleman talks with me about how our financial system has set most people up to fail by teaching them to have a scarcity mindset because they teach you to scrimp and save, to live within your means until one magic day when you retire, then you need to live even more within those boundaries until you die.
Kevin Adelman discusses the importance of mindset, your subconscious and your personal development as it relates to financial wealth. He talks about Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Robert Kiyosaki, Warren Buffet and how they have shaped and influenced his life and career.
Kevin talks about his backstory where he breaks down to the point where he felt so lost, then found a Tony Robbins book that changes everything for him and allowed him to move from a scarcity to an abundance mindset and build a 7 figure business.
This is an absolutely powerful discussion about how Kevin helps teach his clients about scarcity and...
Today On Mindset Hackers we are going to be talking about what I call the Dopamine Treadmill, when you constantly chase the symbols of success and still end up so unfulfilled and unhappy in life and why that happens from a neuroscience perspective.
I'll also give 5 tips on how to let happiness, success and wealth coexist together.
Matthew McConaughey said it best in Wolf of Wall Street:
"𝙄𝙩'𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙙."
"Come up with another brilliant idea. A 'Special idea'. Another stock to reinvest his earnings. And he will come back every single time. You keep them on the ferris wheel and keep it spinning, and spinning, and spinning."
This is why there can be so much wealth co-existing with so much unhappiness, anxiety and depression.
Dopamine is the 'molecule of more'.
It's all very intentional.
Social media 'likes'.
Dopamine is the reward seeking chemical and is highest when the payoff is unpredictable,...
How do you embrace the suck when you feel...
Like an imposter.
Full of self doubt.
Like you cannot take one more step.
Go to your Cookie Jar
David Goggins, former Navy Seal and Ultra-Athlete has a mindset tool that he uses for such scenarios to get him through.
He calls it "The Cookie Jar."
What is the Cookie Jar?
Imagine a large jar into which you place all of your past accomplishments—the things you did which you once believed would be too terrifying, too difficult, or too impossible.
But you did them anyway.
You transcended your own self-limiting belief.
You conquered in the face of adversity!
Those are the "cookies" you place in the jar.
When you are confronted by obstacles in life that feel too overwhelming, remember to go into your cookie jar and remove cookies of past accomplishments and draw from your past victories.
They are placed there to remind you that you can do it.
Have you made yourself a cookie jar to call upon when it gets...
Daylight savings time changed the course of my life.
I know that's a bold statement but it's true, here's what happened:
For my entire life, Fall DST was the day when you get an extra hour to sleep in!
After a few days you start to normalize to the new schedule.
In my days as a club promoter and DJ, it even meant an extra hour of partying, not to mention it often fell on Halloween night (the best clubbing night of the year).
But in 2018 on DST, for just one day out of my life, I decided to keep that hour for my personal development instead of sleeping in.
That extra hour was pure 'me' time, and put even in front of my workouts.
This is how I pay myself first with time.
I've now had 1000+ hours of meditation, reading books, listening to podcasts, journaling and visualization.
My stress level is virtually non-existent, my happiness and joy are through the roof and my income is extremely abundant because of the opportunities that have unfolded.
I only made the switch once and that hour...
