How To Reinvent Yourself And Live Life On Your Terms - NOA AON on the System Reset

As they say, you are under no obligation to be the same person you were yesterday. Reinventing yourself is a beautiful process, yet so few of us actually do that. We get caught up in the day to day, doing the same things over and over, grasping onto the same emotions of the past instead of creating a vision of the future.

If you are discouraged, frustrated, feeling a lack of engagement with what you are doing, that's nothing more than a 'check engine light that turns on and let's you know you are due for a change.

It's never too late to get a fresh start in life, in fact my own mother put her dream of being an artist on hold in her 20's, 30's, and 40's to take care of me and my sister. But in her 50's, she went back to school and got her degree, then became a successful artist in her 60's!

I thought I had lived a pretty crazy life, and then I met:

Live Longer: How Biohacking can combat aging and increase both lifespan and health span

I'll be 64 years old when my youngest graduates high school. Some would say I got a late start but I say I'm just getting started. When I was a kid, there were TV shows where people would be living in retirement homes in their 50's (WTF? I'm 49!).

I remember an actor named Wilfred Brimley, he just looked old, and at the age of 50 years old and 9 months, he starred in the 1983 move "Cocoon". I just found out that there is something called the Brimley Barrier that people can use to gauge how they are aging at 18,500 days, the number of days Brimley was alive when that movie was released.

Last week I went to see an 80's concert and enjoyed watching Howard Jones, Stacy Q and Wang Chung rock it in their 60's. I'm also seeing Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves and Arnold Schwarznegger still kicking ass in the movies, just like they were decades ago.

This has gotten me extremely fascinated with aging and...

Build A One Person Business And Do What You Love (The Creator Economy Explained)

We've never had a better time in our history for those of us who want to, can create money doing what we love in life. The key to this is understanding the Creator Economy.

But not much more than 100 years ago during the industrial revolution, for someone to get by, they had to literally become paid slaves to corporations if they couldn't make it as a farmer. People worked 14 hour days in harsh and inhumane conditions, including children.

Reform set in, conditions improved and the educational system was put into place to remove children from the workforce, yet train them to become future employees. For close to a decade, people followed this model of going to school, working hard, then getting a degree, then entering the work force and having a career for the rest of your life.

As the century went on, going to school became less and less predictive of financial success (less relevant) and more and more expensive. 25 years ago, I opted out of higher education because I...

Should I Post Personal Content On Business Social Media Accounts?

Today I want to drop a nugget about creating content on social platforms, because traffic is what fuels your one person business and the most important thing that a person can cultivate in the creator economy.

Probably the number 1 question I get asked all the time is ‘should I post personal stuff on (LinkedIn/Social Media)’?

Such a great question and there’s a few sides to this that may apply to more than just LinkedIn and give you some ideas as far as your overall content marketing strategy. One of my favorite sayings about business, especially as it relates to being a one person business is 'people buy from people, not businesses'.

If you think about some of the best and biggest businesses out there, you may love the overall brand, but it still feels very personal to you. And if you are buying higher ticket items, you probably like to 'know someone' in the industry that is relatable to you.

This is where your personal...

How To Bend Reality And Become Superhuman Like In The Movie 'The Matrix'

Did you ever see the move The Matrix?

The reason I loved this movie so much is there are so many parallels with life.

In the movie, 'the real world' is a simulation perpetrated by AI to keep us distracted and under control.

Not so different from our 'real world' where the media, politics, advertising, social media hacking our dopamine systems to keep us distracted and chasing an ideal reality that never seems to come.

In the movie, the Matrix (the simulation) is a computer program that has rules and boundaries called 'constructs' that keep people prisoner.

In our lives, we have outdated belief systems that we have bought into and work within that also keep us prisoner.

In the movie, during the training scenes, Neo gets distracted by the girl in the Red Dress, a perfect example of how easily we get distracted in life, especially as entrepreneurs. I call this 'Shiny Object Syndrome' and it comes in the way of success because it diffuses your focus and energy.

Here are some examples of...

How Meta Ruined Threads In Less Than A Month (And What We Can Learn From It)

Threads, the new app by Meta has lost 88% of its traffic in less than one month.

I'm going to break down what happened and 3 questions you should ask whether you are a one person business or a gigantic company like Meta so you don't make the same mistakes..

Meta did an exceptional job launching the Threads app, with over 100 Million sign ups in just a few weeks (1/4 of the total users of Twitter).

FOMO and curiosity was strong, plus the easy barrier for IG users to instantaneously set up.

Threads easily crushed every social platform with getting people in the door, but then lost momentum almost as fast as it came. So what happened?

After a month of playing on the platform, I cannot understand a clear benefit of using it. And according to the Live Mint Blog, which also said usage is down from 19 minutes per user to 4 minutes:

"One of the main reasons for the Threads app losing traction with users is the lack of clarity about what...

Why You Should Cultivate High Value Skills In The Modern Creator Economy

There's been a big problem brewing, decades in the making.

This photo is of me 28 years ago when I was a manager at the Salt Lake Country club.

I chose not to go to college because I hated school and couldn't imagine working to pay off loans to do something I hated.

I got my education (partially) from the many wealthy & innovative entrepreneurs that were members here.

I noticed something strange though: many of the bartenders and servers that I managed were college grads that were struggling to find a job in the field they had chosen and bartending or serving to pay off their loans.

Some of them were about to go to college and it felt like they were randomly picking a degree to go into.

I believe at one time it made sense to be intentional about what you want to do and go to college to get a degree in that field, then spend your life in that career.

Part of the problem is that at a young age, its so hard to tell WHAT you want...

The Single FASTEST Way To 10x Your Time & Productivity

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I am obsessed with the concept of ‘bending time’; the ability to 10x the amount of what we can do.

It’s been 3 years since I’ve been able to run a business, create content on multiple platforms, run a full book in sales, be a father to 3 kids, sleep 8 hours per night, put out 140+ episodes of my podcast, create 200+ videos and work out/meditate 6 days per week.

I won’t go into it here, but I believe that time is highly malleable because of 1) how we manage time (what most people focus on), 2) our beliefs and how we ‘feel’ about our time (time anxiety) and 3) how we manage our ‘energy’ around time.

Today I wanted to talk about the ONE thing you can do to amplify time in your schedule and turn you into a time ninja.

The simple formula to getting massive results is this:

+Gain knowledge.

+ Take action.

– Reduce overthink.

= Massive results.

What is crazy is after diagnosing...

How To Use Network & Relationship Building To Get Whatever You Want In Life

I’ve always had a passion for music and when I was in my mid 20’s, I wanted to be a DJ and play in front of thousands of people at some of the best clubs.

That was my dream, but the reality was that it was a VERY crowded market and at that time EVERYONE wanted to be a DJ too.

Crowded market, does that sound familiar?

Unless you had some really good connections, this meant you were either playing in your basement to your 4 friends, or if you were lucky, you got a gig but played in the back lounge of some club where no one was.

Gigs on the main floor were so far and few in between, and living in Salt Lake, bigger DJ’s would be sucking up all the gigs because it was easy cash as they travelled from East Coast to West Coast or vice versa.

I didn’t want to play in my basement in front of 4 friends or the back lounge of clubs, I wanted to be on the main stage, and I had to figure it out!

Trying to find the club owner and pitch him on why a no-name DJ should get...

Unlocking LinkedIn's Potential: 11 Ways to Monetize Your Business

It’s no surprise that LinkedIn has played a big part in my building a business and a podcast that I LOVE!

During COVID in 2020, my income evaporated as hospitals were shut down for months and I needed a backup plan.

I use LinkedIn to boot up a coaching business and exactly 3 years ago I got my first Mindset Client. I remember it was so weird getting PAID to teach something I LOVE talking about!

Within a couple of months, I got 2 more inbound mindset clients and within 4 months I had grown my following from 500 to 2000 and launched my first digital course!

Since that time, LinkedIn has been a great resource for me to make money, build relationships and collaborations, learn from others, and grow my podcast.

At the beginning of 2022, I launched an audio masterclass (a course you could listen to on your phone) called ‘9 Ways To Monetize LinkedIn’ which I got a lot of really great feedback on.

It contained lessons...
