Raise Your Frequency To Elevate And Influence Everyone Around You

On this fresh new episode of Mindset Hackers I have discussed the idea of 'raising your frequency' to bring up the energy level of those you interact with.

Imagine being able to walk into your next interview, teach a class or a coach, do your next sales call or presentation, be on a stage or on a podcast and come in with a transferrable energy that lifts others up and inspires.

Epic sales people know how to influence and inspire by what I call the 'Transfer of Enthusiasm'.

Your energy level is completely transferable and you will be able to affect not only your own state, but the state of others, which can put them in a place where they are ready to take action.

You know those people that you meet who just make you feel good when you are around them, they bring up the level of energy in a room, they know how to impact others, they influence those around them.

You also know the people that are a buzzkill in a room and bring down the energy, and have the frequency of Zombie.

The Only 2 Things You Need To Succeed

On this episode of Mindset Hackers we talk about the only 2 things that you need to succeed in sales, business, entrepreneurship or any other professional pursuit.

Before we start, I'd like to share my 4 mindset mantras that I say to myself every single day:

Affirmation #1 - If they can do it, so can I.

Affirmation #2 - I can figure this out.

Affirmation #3 - I can go harder.

Affirmation #4 - I will do whatever it takes.

Those four mindset mantras are painted above my shower so that every morning, above my cold shower, I see those as I embrace the cold. I thump my chest and I say those out loud and I prime my day to crush it with the momentum of a freight train. Then I start my day.

Now back to the 2 things you need for success:

Knowledge & Action.

Simple right? Not so much. It takes a strong person to seek out knowledge because as soon as you do, then the excuses start showing up in your mindset.

We allow ourselves to believe that these are real limitations, but they are not,...

Let Go Of Everything You Have To Justify.

"Well it's because....." you say defensively when someone asks you about it.

The job.
The relationship.
The behavior.
The parents.
The friend.

The story about why you aren't enough that keeps you from thinking and playing bigger.

To justify is to act from a place of fear rather than a place of power.

To justify is to give a discount for already damaged goods.

If you can't let go, you don't have your hands open to receive something better.

You could say:

I deserve better.
I am capable of more.
It no longer serves me.
What if I succeed?
What if I can make more?
I can have higher standards.
I will not let my life be average.
I can figure this out.
I can learn how.

What if you let go of everything you have to justify?

You will tap into your higher power and become the badass that you're meant to be!

Take ownership of everything.

No excuses. No justifications.

Protect Your Sphere So That Nothing Negative Can Penetrate Your Mindset

In this episode of Mindset Hackers we will talk about the quote “You are the average of the 5 people that you spend the most time with” by the great mindset mentor and personal development guru, Jim Rohn.

Jim is known as the godfather of personal development and was a mentor to Tony Robbins and so many other greats.

As much as I love and respect the legend Jim Rohn, I completely disagree, but not in a bad way. Jim was right that spending time around the right people, or the wrong people, can massively impact how your success follows.

The way I say it, you are actually the sum of EVERYONE that enters your sphere (your mindset, your environment), and this isn’t just people, but you are also the average of everything that you consume, such as the media, the music, the podcasts, the books, the shows, the news, the food and even your personal space.

You are so valuable and your sphere is so worthy of being protected from people who will suck your energy or bring drama...

1 - Because it costs money and it will take away from what I have earned or saved up, I'll be going backwards instead of forwards.

2 - Because it takes up time and with as busy as I am right now, I just can't put anything more on my plate.

3 - Because now isn't the right time. The timing will be much better down the road when I am less busy.

Now, I know you are thinking those sound like a bunch of excuses that people say,

But it really doesn't matter if it's and excuse or legit because the result is the exact same ...... nothing happens or changes.

Last fall I was asked to join what seemed to be a very expensive mastermind group and I said those 3 things, I don't have the time, it costs too much and now isn't the right time.

I felt good about the decision and had no regrets.

But this May I was approached again to join, but the price had increased another $5k from 8 months before and would exceed my mortgage.

Imagine a door in front of you.

You don't exactly know what is behind the door, you think there could be opportunity, but also there could be danger.

There is a 5% chance of danger and +60% chance of opportunity.

But you fear what will happen if you walk through that door, instead of the opportunity that might unfold.

So you stay where you are and don't walk through.

And the 5% of the time that the do? What's the worse that can happen?

The real danger lies in staying in the same place, where you aren't safe anyway, because its not what is behind the door...

5 Mental Toughness Tips You Can Implement Now from Ultra Marathon Runner Mark Robbins

Imagine being only 1/4 of the way through on your first 100 mile ultra-marathon and you start to notice blisters forming on your feet.

The skin is starting to chafe, burn and rub away, every step starts to become more painful.

What do you do for the next 20+ hours and 75 miles?

It's going to get a lot worse, but will you quit and save it for another day?

Or will you tap into your mindset and mental toughness reserves to make it through?

I had the opportunity to interview ultra-runner Mark Robbins about his mindset and how he gets through events that can:

- Last 30 hours or more, through the night with no sleep.

- Elevation gains and losses that are equal to climbing/descending Mount Everest.

- Can be in brutal weather with rain, mud and slippery terrain.

We talk about mental toughness, perseverance, grit and more; and he gives 5 tips that he uses in the hardest conditions but can be applied in business, sales, in your personal life or in sports when things get REALLY...

Myths of the hustle and grind culture

Myths of Hustle and Grind culture:

Busy-ness is the same as productivity
Time is money
I have to work hard to succeed
If it's urgent I need to act all frantic
I don't have enough time

What is Busy-ness? It's a feeling of stress, overwhelm, lack of time, rushing around, all associated with trying to GSD.

The crazy thing is you can still feel Busy-ness even when you aren't GSD.

And GSD can be done more effectively without Busy-ness.

If you want to always be stressed out running full speed on the hamster wheel, missing out on life, always chasing, count me out H&G culture.

It's time to break through some of the myths of the hustle and grind culture and take back your own life before you spend the entire time on the dopamine treadmill and miss out on all the beauty in life.

Check out me and Bobby Dysart on the Student of Intention Podcast where we go deep on so many mindset topics.
