How To Make Money Online Doing What You Love While Travelling The World

 In this article I'll be sharing with you the 3 High Value Skills that you need if you want to build a flexible online business that allows you to travel the world and do what you want to do. Some would call this being a digital nomad, I like to call it being a digital entrepreneur. 

Stats say that 60-80% of people hate what they do for their career or income.


Meanwhile, there are more and more Digital Entrepreneurs like David Jachetta who are claiming thier freedom to make money doing what they love.

Dave is currently making more money than he ever has while working from Thailand, Costa Rica and Playa Del Carmen. He's created this business in less than the 2 years I've know him and he is 27 years old. 

He said the biggest epiphany for him was when he was sitting on top of a mountain top in Thailand while getting paid from someone who was in Canada. This unlocked a mindset shift around money for him that helped him break free of the 'employee' mindset of trading time for money or being in a certain location doing something you hate for your income. 



How is it 'normal' to spend 4 to 8 years of your life and hundreds of thousands of dollars training to do something that you'll most likely hate? Think about the cost and the time of what people put into an average education which offers no guarantee of success, and often ends up with you doing something that you don't want to do. 

And then people feel like its some type of 'expense' to invest in their personal growth and its a stretch for most people to pay for things like coaching or online courses, let alone follow through on them.

But for those who are willing to learn the High Value Skills of online business, you can travel, you can work from home, you can work abroad, you can work on your terms and do what you love while making money doing it. Its a very small investment to make actually. 

If you love freedom and flexibility, build a knowledge based business around a topic that you know and love.

Spend 2 to 3 years getting good at these skills:

✅️ Content creation - learning to create content around the topics that you are passionate about allows you to build an audience (traffic) which allows you to sell whatever you want to that audience if they find value in it. 

✅️ Digital marketing - this is learning how to build funnels, an email list, learning to take the traffic that you have created and bring it into an email list, a group, a community; how to help them build more awareness of the problems they have and the solutions you can help deliver to them. 

✅️ Non invasive sales - Sales does not need to be high pressure, especially when you understand digital marketing (which tee's up the sales for you). The best people in sales don't talk, they ask really good questions and then shut up and let the other person talk. 

Overhead could be next to nothing, and you could work from anywhere, serving people who live anywhere with no physical products that require material, manufacturing, warehousing or shipping.

Learn and continue to work on these 3 High Value Skills and then in year 4 you will start to experience exponential results and the work you have done will start to compound. 

Knowledge based digital products:

One thing I learned from my first online business in 2005 was that having physical products sucks. I didn't even warehouse my own products because I was a drop shipper. But physical products are a major headwind to business because they have manufacturing costs, warehousing, shipping, returns, not to mention have smaller margins and often compete with other vendors or manufacturers.

Knowledge based digital products such as courses or online communities can be sold from anywhere in the world, to anywhere in the world and are straight profit and can be completely automated with no shipping involved, accessible at any time. Its the perfect business model in my experience. 

Online coaching would be another alternative and one that Dave has been doing. Even so, you can scale by raising prices to match demand as well as offering group coaching (one to many). 

Even so, most people still won't create this life because of constructs and paradigms around 'how your career should go', or limiting beliefs, or think it should happen in 6 months.

My wish list doesn't require me to travel the globe (not yet) but I simply want time with my 3 kids and to wake up every morning at 5:45 AM without an alarm clock because I'm so excited about what I'm creating (a top .01% world class podcast).

It's simple, and it lights me up with energy and passion.

Whether its a job or your own business, just know what you want and go after it relentlessly, do no accept anything less. If you do that, you'll most likely get it.
