How to make it easier for buyers to hand you money!

Hello my friends!

Today I wanted to share an easy way that you can make it easier for your clients to do business with you: by removing barriers for them.

They say if you are just starting a workout routine, the easiest way to get in the habit of going to the gym is to get all your stuff ready the night before so you can just grab and go.

Same with prepping your meals for the week, its so much easier to eat healthy if you have planned ahead and prepared all of your meals ahead of time.

When you do this, you are removing friction from the habits that you are looking to build.

You can do the same for your clients, by removing as many steps or barriers as you can.

Here’s a few ideas on how to remove friction and barriers to doing business:

Doing business online: If you are doing business online, make sure your checkout pages and email opt in pages have as few form fields as possible.

For every data field that you add, the more likely the client will abandon that page. On your email opt ins, make it simple, name and email only, and keep it on the top part of the page.

Landing pages vs. web pages: learn to send people to the most relevant landing page instead of to your website where they may get lost or must search through the menu to find the right page.

Scheduling a call: if you are in a hot DM conversation with someone and they want to hop on a call, schedule it right there instead of sending them to a booking page. Give them 2 options to start and let them pick, if neither work, ask them to give you 2 options.

Options and choices: It may work well for the Cheesecake Factory menu but in your business, give your clients as few choices as you can.

That doesn’t mean not having a lot of options, it just means presenting them with as few options or choices as you can when it comes time to ask for a sale.

For courses or group coaching, keep packages to a minimum. If you have multiple price points and packages, this can be a nightmare so split packages on the sales page, then split price options on the checkout page.

Forms, Survey’s and Quizzes: Have you ever been asked to give feedback from a company that you loved then got 2 minutes into their survey and realized it was question 4 of 97…. You get my point. Keep it tight.

Remember, YOU are the expert and they are looking to you for guidance, so grab them by the hand and help them rule out the options that don’t apply to them, and narrow down the ones that do apply to them.

Do you have some ideas on how you can simplify your buyers journey and remove some barriers? I’d love to hear it so message me back.

This week on the Mindset Hackers Podcast: How to OBLITERATE the negative voice inside your head. I just dropped an episode on 2 of my favorite techniques to fill up your cup o self-love to the point where it spills over. When you fill up your own cup and it pours over, you have plenty to give, without neediness and expectation. Available on all platforms including Spotify and Apple.

LinkedIn nugget of the week:

Reminder to not post your external links in the comments. This was ‘LinkedIn wisdom’ leading up to 2023 because the myth was that social platforms will demote your content to keep you on the site.

While that may be true, they also know you are trying to hack it so your external link in the comments will most likely get lost. Just put it in the post or use the ‘link’ sticker in an image. You’ll be fine, I’ve been driving plenty of traffic off site.
