Kajabi Templates: The Complete Guide for Coaches & Course Creators
Jan 06, 2026
I want to talk about Kajabi templates in a straightforward way, because there’s a lot of noise around them and very little clarity.
Most coaches and course creators don’t struggle with Kajabi because it’s complicated. They struggle because it gives them too many options at once. You open the editor, see a blank page, and suddenly you’re making design decisions you didn’t plan to make. Layout. Spacing. Sections. Flow. None of that is why you chose Kajabi in the first place.
Kajabi templates exist to solve that problem. Not by doing the work for you, but by removing decisions that don’t need your attention.
At a basic level, Kajabi templates are pre-designed page layouts built inside Kajabi. They give you structure — how a page is organized, how sections flow, how content is spaced — so you’re not starting from zero every time you build or update something. You’re working inside a system instead of negotiating with the editor on every page.
That distinction matters more than people realize.
Most coaches I work with aren’t trying to design something clever. They want their site to feel clear, intentional, and aligned with the level they’re already operating at. They want to share their link without second-guessing it. They want their offers to sit in an environment that feels considered, not improvised.
Templates help with that because they create consistency. When the structure is handled, everything else becomes easier — writing copy, updating offers, adding pages, or simply maintaining the site over time.
I didn’t start creating templates because I wanted to sell templates. I built them because I didn’t want to keep re-solving the same problems on my own site. I wanted a layout system that held up over time, didn’t rely on trends, and didn’t need constant tweaking. Once I had that in place, I noticed how much mental space it freed up. I stopped thinking about design and started focusing on the business again.
That experience shapes how I think about Kajabi templates now. The value isn’t speed. It’s stability.
Not all Kajabi templates serve the same purpose, though, and this is where people often choose the wrong thing.
Website templates are meant to establish presence. They give you a polished home base — a homepage, an about page, an offers or services page — that feels cohesive and complete. They’re not designed to push someone through a decision quickly. They’re designed to communicate credibility and clarity.
Sales page templates are different. Their job is focus. They guide attention through an offer, create pacing, and support a decision without overwhelming the reader. A good sales page template doesn’t try to persuade aggressively. It creates space for the offer to stand on its own.
Checkout page templates matter more than most people expect. This is where hesitation shows up, even with strong offers. Clean, well-structured checkout pages reduce friction and reinforce trust at the exact moment it counts. For digital products and lower- to mid-ticket offers, this can make a noticeable difference.
There are also funnel-style templates that connect multiple pages into a sequence. These are useful when you want a defined flow without designing each step individually. They prioritize momentum and consistency over customization.
Whether Kajabi templates are “worth it” depends on what you value. If you enjoy designing every detail yourself, they may feel restrictive. If you value consistency, saved time, and a site that holds its shape as your business evolves, templates tend to pay for themselves quickly.
What makes a good Kajabi template isn’t how impressive it looks on day one. It’s whether it still feels usable six months later. Strong templates have clear hierarchy, controlled spacing, and flexible sections. They don’t rely on trends, and they don’t fight the content you put into them.
Custom design has its place, but it isn’t a prerequisite for professionalism. Templates let you start aligned instead of earning alignment later. You can always refine once the foundation is solid.
There’s also a quiet SEO benefit to good templates that rarely gets talked about. Clear structure makes publishing easier. Publishing consistently matters more than chasing optimization tricks. Templates support that consistency by removing friction from the process.
That’s really what this comes down to.
Kajabi templates aren’t shortcuts. They’re systems. When the structure is handled well, you can put your attention where it actually belongs — on your work, your clients, and your offers.
