Bad Advice From The Coaching Gurus (Part 1)

“Charge your worth”

“It’s not about the money”

“Raise your prices”

“Go high ticket”

Advice from the Gurus that often leaves coaches frustrated and desperate for sales month after month.

I've seen new coaches walk over money and clients because they've been shamed into charging high rates without creating the market to sustain it.

These same Guru’s usually have large followings and a high degree of social proof that allows them to do this much easier than a new or intermediate player in the game.

I've also seen a 2nd grade teacher close in on 7 figures with a $99 offer using the right strategies.

Yes, charge your worth, charge high ticket, but only after you have earned that right.

If you don’t have the big name, the big podcast, big Instagram account then:

1 – Work your way up in both pricing and confidence.

2 – Build up your...

Amy Porterfield shares 3 FREE bonuses for entrepreneurs!

Crazy how this unfolded....

In 2021, I thought it would be a good idea to create a vision board because it had been so long since I had made one.

If you know me, I’ll try anything (and hopefully without judgment).

So I put a bunch of shit on there (mostly things that I wanted since that’s what I was told to do in the early 2000’s when it came to vision boards).

But after I made it I realized I no longer wanted ‘things’ as much as it was ‘who I wanted to become’.

Anyway I did put Marketing Legend and Entrepreneur Amy Porterfield on my vision board, 6 months before I even started podcast!

She is probably the number 1 person (up there with Gary Vee) that I look up to when it comes to entrepreneurship!

This week I got the amazing opportunity to interview her and it was fun telling her that!

The episode just dropped and its packed with goodness!

We talk about:

How she worked for Tony Robbins for 7 years...

The One Thing You Can Do Today To Get Results Fast - With Ammar Assad

Today on the Mindset Hackers Podcast it's time to drop some major heat with one of the most impressive entrepreneurs that I know, Ammar Assad.

Ammar owns 2 rental car franchises and learned how to 'detach' from his businesses and hire the right managers to allow those to function independently, they started business coaching to help others do the same.

Ammar is a leader within a top sales and coaching organization who helps other coaches go from average to elite. He has also been a pivotal colleague in my own entrepreneurial journey and a great friend as well.

Before we started recording, I asked Ammar what was one topic that he was excited to jam about and he said 'Taking Action', which was EXACTLY what I was wanting to talk about.

As you know, I often talk about the formula for success being this equation "Knowledge + Action - Overthink = Massive Results".

When you dissect any journey, and you use this formula, you can find out where the breakdown is: you are lacking the skills...

It's true, a lot of people have a big aversion to getting on a call with potential clients.

You can be the best coach in the world but if you can't sell, then you can't do what you do best.

When I even mention sales to a lot of people and ask them what comes to mind they say things like:

High pressure.
Sleazy.
Manipulative.
Hidden agenda.
Aggressive.
Never stopping.

^ Those are actually words from a live call I did where I asked that question.

So how do you sell if your gut gets an icky feeling with even mentioning sales?

Our Leveraging LinkedIn community had the honor of having Charlotte Petit Noble drop some massive value on our group about sales calls and how to feel good about them.

English is a second language for Charlotte and she says she can close sales calls with ease by adopting these 4 core beliefs:

Core Belief #1: You are the expert. You are the one that solves the problem. You are the one who can solve the pain points.

How To Obliterate Self Doubt And Rewire Your Mindset To Be Unstoppable

In this episode of Mindset Hackers I detail how I start the my day and create enough momentum to destroy any obstacle that comes in my path, and that would also include the limiting beliefs that (could) hold me back.

I'll share with you the 4 mantras/affirmations that I say to my self several hundreds of times during the year.

I say these over and over, as I take a cold shower every morning, because I am reprogramming my mind to be able to figure out anything. How to be more mentally tough. How to be more resourceful. How to keep going.

The book that I recommend in this episode is "Mindset" by Carol Dweck where she coined the term 'Growth Mindset' and 'Fixed Mindset'. This is an excellent read and one that I find more and more value in the traits of how highly successful people look at things like learning, failure, adaptability and ego.

Start using these 4 mantras and do them every day like I do and you'll start to program yourself with the traits of a growth mindset and be able to...

How To Avoid Toxic People & Negative Energy By Protecting Your Sphere

New YouTube Video!

Today’s episode of Mindset Hackers we will talk about the quote “You are the average of the 5 people that you spend the most time with” by the great mindset mentor and personal development guru, Jim Rohn.

Jim Rohn is known as the godfather of personal development and was a mentor to Tony Robbins and so many other greats.

As much as I love and respect the legend Jim Rohn, I completely disagree, but not in a bad way. Jim was right that spending time around the right people, or the wrong people, can massively impact how your success follows.

The way I see it, you are actually the sum of EVERYONE that enters your sphere (your mindset, your environment), and this isn’t just people, but you are also the average of everything that you consume, such as the media, the music, the podcasts, the books, the shows, the news, the food and even your personal space.

You are so valuable and your sphere is so worthy of being protected from people who will...

How To Embrace Yourself When You Feel Down

How do you embrace the suck when you feel...

Beat down.

Exhausted.

Depleted.

Like an imposter.

Full of self doubt.

Like you cannot take one more step.

Go to your Cookie Jar

David Goggins, former Navy Seal and Ultra-Athlete has a mindset tool that he uses for such scenarios to get him through.

He calls it "The Cookie Jar."

What is the Cookie Jar?

Imagine a large jar into which you place all of your past accomplishments—the things you did which you once believed would be too terrifying, too difficult, or too impossible.

But you did them anyway.

You transcended your own self-limiting belief.

You conquered in the face of adversity!

Those are the "cookies" you place in the jar.

When you are confronted by obstacles in life that feel too overwhelming, remember to go into your cookie jar and remove cookies of past accomplishments and draw from your past victories.

They are placed there to remind you that you can do it.

Have you made yourself a cookie jar to call upon when it gets...

1 - Because it costs money and it will take away from what I have earned or saved up, I'll be going backwards instead of forwards.

2 - Because it takes up time and with as busy as I am right now, I just can't put anything more on my plate.

3 - Because now isn't the right time. The timing will be much better down the road when I am less busy.

Now, I know you are thinking those sound like a bunch of excuses that people say,

But it really doesn't matter if it's and excuse or legit because the result is the exact same ...... nothing happens or changes.

Last fall I was asked to join what seemed to be a very expensive mastermind group and I said those 3 things, I don't have the time, it costs too much and now isn't the right time.

I felt good about the decision and had no regrets.

But this May I was approached again to join, but the price had increased another $5k from 8 months before and would exceed my mortgage.

You don't exactly know what is behind the door, you think there could be opportunity, but also there could be danger.

There is a 5% chance of danger and +60% chance of opportunity.

But you fear what will happen if you walk through that door, instead of the opportunity that might unfold.

So you stay where you are and don't walk through.

The real danger lies in staying in the same place, where you aren't safe anyway, because its not what is behind the door...
